While this school year has been different and nothing close to “normal”, I learned things about myself that may not have come up in any other situation. This school year has brought challenges, learning curves, new opportunities, amazing friends and many other positive things.. I learned things about myself that may not have come up in any other situation. Being on your own the majority of the time can lead to depression, and friends can be more than just another person: they can be there for you as a safe place to go when you are not yourself.

 I also learned that sports can be a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Although this school year was not how I would have wanted my freshman year to go, there were many good memories made that will last a lifetime.
