Elisabeth Palacios
Editor in Chief
Elisabeth has been a member of the Vidette staff since sophomore year, and has returned for her third year as the paper’s Editor in Chief. She likes to write both journalistically and creatively, and political/social issues tend to be a focus of her articles a lot of the time. In her free time, she loves listening to music, watching movies and shows, and hanging out with friends.
William Looker-Fenn
Editor in Chief 2026-27
William Looker-Fenn is a sophomore staff writer for the McCaskey Vidette Newspaper. The 2025-2026 school year is his first year with the newspaper. William likes to write about topics that interest him, such as sports. Outside of school, William likes to watch sports, keep up with global events, and debate with his family.

Eleni King Martin
Social Media Manager for the Vidette, Echo and Performing Arts, and Staff Writer
Eleni King Martin, Social Media Manager (11) is in her first year with the Vidette. Eleni has hopes of becoming a journalist, which is why she joined the newspaper staff! She also participates in the Echo yearbook, stage crew, colorguard, and Model UN. Eleni loves how McCaskey brought her to so many of her friends!

Gabrielle Mappone
Advisor
Gabrielle Mappone serves as the adviser for McCaskey’s Echo Yearbook and the Vidette student newspaper. She believes that every student’s story matters and is passionate about helping young journalists and creators share their voices across the school community. Whether students are designing a yearbook spread, reporting campus news, or building a social media campaign, she strives to create a collaborative space where they can be proud of the work they produce.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys attending concerts, traveling and working on creative projects of her own. Above all, Ms. Mappone is a strong believer in community, collaboration, and ensuring that every student can see themselves reflected in the stories McCaskey tells.
