Annual ‘Pic Your Path’ event highlights McCaskey’s numerous course offerings

By Elisabeth Palacios

From November 5th to 8th, McCaskey had its annual round of ‘Pic Your Path’ for 8th and 10th graders, the overview of McCaskey’s classes and programs by students, for students.

Pic Your Path is a great opportunity for 10th graders to expand their horizons their junior and senior year, because it is where they learn about the paths that become available to them once they have more choices over their classes. This includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the Advanced Placement (AP) Certificate, which both have a combined tour stop every year.

For 8th graders, they get to learn about the high school experience entirely, considering that it is a huge transition from middle school and it can be scary to not know what to expect. Not only do they get introduced to how classes work at the high school level, but they get a tour around the school at the same time.

This year, all of the stops for Pic Your Path had an interactive element for students to learn about the subjects our school has to offer as options or requirements to graduate.
