Located on 310 N Queen Street, MadCap&Co is a gift shop. You can find an abundance of merchandise from stickers & cards to apparel. It’s catered to a younger demographic, keeping up with the latest social media trends & pop culture moments. They also have a website online where you can purchase at the comfort of your own home, creating an easier experience for online shoppers. The prices are also on the cheaper side with prices around $20 and under. Their retail store hours are 10am-6pm, and on Sundays 12am-6pm. You should definitely try this place out as it has very affordable prices and a variety of everything.

2. The Comic Store

Located on 28 McGovern Ave, The Comic Store is exactly what the name suggests. It has all kinds of comics from superheroes, anime, and many more. This can be a really great gift for book/comic lovers as it’s also affordable for a high school student. But don’t be fooled, they also have interesting items like figurines and games, and also role playing & collectible card games. This is more appealing to people who like reading, action figures, games, etc. It also has an event called “New Comic Wednesday,” where you can check out new comics coming out, and could purchase it for family & friends who are into that type of stuff. Definitely try it out as they have amazing quality for their prices, which can vary from expensive to inexpensive.

3. BellaBoo

Are you shopping for a kid? Well you’re in luck! Located in the center of Lancaster City, BellaBoo is perfect for high-quality toys and apparel for kids. Although it’s a little pricey, it’s high quality and authenticity makes up for it. It’s also a very fun and vibrant shop if you go in there, with a lot of bright & fun colors. They are also very convenient to online shoppers with its official website. You should definitely check this place out if you know any kids since it’s very nice quality.

4. Josiah’s Oils

Started in 2011, it is a family-owned business and sells natural essential oils, bath and body care, and home products all handcrafted. Their price range is great for their good quality as they are environmentally friendly with the ‘safest ingredients on Earth.’ Their products range from skin care, sleep, mood & anxiety, pain relief, etc. This’ll be very good for anyone who loves body care and spa treatments. I would recommend this place as a gift for anyone who loves body products and relaxation. You can also shop online, if that’s what you prefer!

5. Sweetish 

       Located on N Queen Street, Sweetish is a Swedish candy store with a variety of different candies you can choose from. They have holiday gift boxes you can choose from, already decorated for you to give to your friends and family. But, you don’t have to pick just that, they have many other amazing candies ranging from chocolates, gummies, and more. Their prices are affordable, most of them being below $50. You should check this place out if you’re looking to try new things!

6. Ellicott & Co.

       Located on 45 N Market St, Ellicott & Co. is a place where you can buy good quality apparels for men. Inspired by the maker communities around the whole US, it collaborates with local makers to create handmade goods for our city. Their products range from clothing, footwear, bags, hygiene products, etc. Their price range is more on the expensive side, but it’s reasonable as the products are handcrafted by local makers. I recommend you try this place out as they have great products for a sustainable price.

7. Lancaster Sweet Shoppe 

       Known for their amazing ice cream and Stroopies, Lancaster Sweet Shoppe is a local business located on 141 N Duke Street. They have local artworks, handmade items like bags & scarves, etc. They also have a holiday gift box that you can buy, ready to be gifted. Their prices are fair for how delicious they taste and the work behind the crafts! Definitely recommend as they have delicious desserts and beautiful art pieces, for a moderate price.
